The younger Pipeliner contingent got together at Fraser’s Restaurant at Kings Park to meet other young people in the industry. The drinks provided a great opportunity for the younger interstate members to meet for the first time as well as catch up with those that they hadn’t seen since the last APIA Convention.
The gardens surrounding Fraser’s Restaurant were filled with chatting and laughter as more beer, wine and champagne was passed around and nibbles provided.
In addition to the YPF drinks, the 2008 Convention saw a YPF desk set up as part of the Trade Exhibition for the first time. The desk allowed young and old Pipeliners alike to talk about the opportunities and initiatives that the YPF provides, as well as ideas for the future.
Young people in the industry who haven’t yet got involved in the YPF should contact APIA to learn about how they can get active – and encourage others to do so as well!
