New Worley CFO commences

Worley chief financial officer starts position

Worley welcomed new chief financial officer (CFO) Tiernan O’Rourke on 29 November.

When the appointment was announced in August, O’Rourke was scheduled to start later in the year to facilitate a smooth transition.

Before holding this position, O’Rourke was the chief financial officer of Stockland Corporation, one of the largest diversified property groups in Australia.

Although he was in the position at Stockland for eight years, O’Rourke has over 30 years of experience in financial, commercial and planning positions throughout a variety of industries, sectors and regions.

Worley’s chief executive officer Chris Ashton said he was “delighted” to appoint O’Rourke to Worley.

“As a global professional services company headquartered in Australia, we help our customers adapt to the world’s changing energy needs and move to a low carbon future,” Ashton said.

“In this global position, he will serve as a member of Worley’s executive team and work closely with me as we steward Worley towards delivering a more sustainable world.”

O’Rourke will be based in Worley’s headquarters in North Sydney.

Charmaine Hopkins remained CFO during the interim period, where he provided O’Rourke with a deep understanding and valuable insights about Worley.
