Woodside makes board appointment

Mr Wyatt has an extensive parliamentary and professional background, becoming the first Indigenous person to become Treasurer in any Australian parliament before retiring from WA Parliament in March 2021.

He is a practised lawyer in both private practice and with the Western Australian Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and was recently appointed to the boards of both the West Coast Eagles and the Telethon Kids Institute.

Woodside Chairman Richard Goyder said Mr Wyatt would bring a unique dynamic to Woodside.

“Mr Wyatt’s proven strategic leadership, demonstrated across his diverse ministerial portfolio, will be an important contributor to the Woodside board as we execute our growth priorities and pursue the energy transition,” he said.

Mr Wyatt will be a member of the board’s Human Resources and Compensation Committee, Sustainability Committee and Nominations and Governance Committee.
