The Interconnector will transport gas from the Pluto LNG facility to the KGP via a 5 km pipeline constructed along the existing Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline corridor.
Civmec will carry out the fabrication of structural steel, piping, a module and skids located within the Pluto plant which will be used to support the project.
The company has a pre-existing relationship with Woodside, having previously completed supply and fabrication contracts pertaining to the Pluto LNG and Greater Western Flank 2 projects.
Woodside said it expects the piping and module construction will support approximately 40 jobs, with works anticipated to run for around seven months commencing this year.
The Interconnector is expected to come online in 2022.
