APA Group’s VNIE project is to increase firm peak winter gas flow capacity from the Victorian Transmission System into the Moomba to Sydney Pipeline System by 145 per cent.
Spiecapag Lucas begun construction on Looping’s 6-9 in 2016, and are expected to complete them this year.
The latest construction updates as follows:
- Loop 8 construction and hydrotesting between Bethungra and Wallendbeen is complete with commissioning completed on 25 April.
- Loop 7B construction between Glenrowan and Wangaratta North is progressing. Clear and grade, stringing, welding and coating is complete. Trenching, lowering in and backfill is 80 per cent complete. Major HDD’s continue to progress.
- Loop 6A construction between Broadford and Tallarook is complete. Hydrotesting activities are pending.
