WATCH: Drones survey major projects

Traditional worksite progress tracking uses both land-based surveying and daily material tracking sheets, which are often costly, inefficient and prone to error.

In a social media post, McConnell Dowell displayed its team of qualified drone pilots who fly regular surveys across its projects to replace traditional tracking methods with the latest digital technology and analysis.

The drones are quick to deploy and can cover a large work area quickly, safely and efficiently, providing project teams and customers with accurate and timely information.

“The result is more accurate and timely site analysis, communication, decision making, record keeping and compliance,” said McConnell Dowell.

“That all adds up to better project results.”
