WA YPF in Aloha Open

Attendees gathered outside the Lucky Shag bar just after lunch, donning their finest Hawaiian outfits to catch the bus to the SupaGolf venue.

After a group photo, everyone organised themselves into teams, grabbed their caddy and brightly coloured golf balls and made their way onto the course to tee-off.

The Ambrose-style competition was fun and easy to play, but it was not without its moments of bunker frustration.

Teams really got into the mood of the competition with comments like, “Time for a hole-in-one”, “It’s a bogey” and “On the fairway”, while others quoted and re-enacted scenes from the classic golfing movie Happy Gilmore.

After nine holes, all adjourned to Mash Brewery for the prize-giving ceremony.

Fiona Eyres of ATCO won Best Dressed, Cameron Sheppard of ROSEN won Best Player and the wkc team, called POaGS: the fairy tale of Perth, won Best Team.

All of this fun and excitement was possible thanks to sponsors Atteris, Monadelphous KT and WDS.

The WA Young Pipeliners Forum committee would like to thank those who contributed to make this a memorable event.
