Victaulic opens new Brisbane facility

The new branch, the company’s third Australian site, will support continued growth within the region, servicing territories stretching from the Hunter Valley to Far North Queensland, as well as inland to industrial and mining regions as well as the Northern Territory.

“After many years of continuous operation in Australia, we are very excited to extend our commitment to this important market,” said Victaulic Australia Operations Manager Adam Kelso.

“The Brisbane branch is a significant addition to Victaulic’s portfolio, giving us the footprint and capabilities to provide next day service to all major hubs within Australia which will enable us to have product where it’s needed, when it’s needed.

“It marks the next phase in Victaulic’s long term strategy to provide a truly national service model with coverage across Australia.”

With the new presence in Brisbane, Victaulic’s stock holdings will allow immediate order fulfilment for shipments to all regions — rather than a potential two to four-day wait time from its Melbourne warehouse.

A new training hub

The new Brisbane branch will feature a 50 square metre Visitor’s Experience and Training Centre.

The dedicated customer and employee training facility will feature the latest innovations from Victaulic and provide programs for training installers within the region.

“We are committed to partnering with the industry to provide local training programs for end users – including engineers, installers and contractors,” said Mr Kelso.

“Our training programs will provide continued education on installation best practices of our products across industries.”

Continued growth in Australia

For more than 100 years, mechanical joints have improved the installation, operation and maintenance of piping systems, with large scale adoption on steel pipe in the mining, commercial building and fire protection markets.

The Brisbane branch is the single largest initiative embarked upon in Australia, and follows the launch of its first Australian branch almost ten years ago in Melbourne.

A Perth branch was opened in 2013 to further support growth in the Western Australia region, particularly within the mining sector.

Victaulic identified rapid growth in commercial, industrial and mining construction projects, which has led to increased demand for products and services

This new hub aims to meet these demands and support the growth across markets.
