Trenchless Technology boom – get on board!

Advancing technology, ongoing water restrictions, ageing infrastructure and increasing environmental concerns have all helped push Trenchless Technology to the forefront of solutions to many of today’s engineering and infrastructure issues.

Trenchless Australasia, published by Great Southern Press (publisher of The Australian Pipeliner), is the official magazine of the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT) and is the key source of information on Trenchless Technology in the Asia Pacific region.

The magazine covers all things trenchless, from projects, to products and equipment, to industry news, to technical articles and much more.

Trenchless Australasia is read by those concerned with the provision of gas, water, sewerage, drainage, telecommunications and electrical services. The readership includes asset owners, consultants, contractors, material and equipment manufacturers, public authorities at all levels of government and those engaged in research and development for underground systems.

In 2007 and 2008, Great Southern Press will expand on its role in communicating the benefits of Trenchless Technology by staging a range of events across Australia.

Trenchless Australasia 2008

Trenchless Australasia 2008 is the 7th National ASTT Conference and Exhibition and will take place from 2 – 5 March 2008 at the Waterview Convention Centre, Sydney Olympic Park.

The timing of Trenchless Australasia 2008 will ride the crest of interest in Trenchless Technology ensuring it is one of the largest and most successful Trenchless events ever held in the Southern hemisphere.

The event will combine a trade exhibition and live demonstrations with a technical conference, workshops and training and a healthy social and networking program. It is a must for anyone who is interested in underground infrastructure, whether an asset owner, contractor, supplier or manufacturer.

Seminar Series

In the second half of 2007, Great Southern Press will also conduct two Trenchless Technology seminars, in Brisbane and Melbourne.

The seminars have been designed to cater for both experienced trenchless practitioners, with presentations on the newest technologies and developments within the field, as well as those who may not have been exposed to Trenchless Technology, but could benefit from employing the technologies within their operations.

These seminars will build on the success of seminars already staged in Melbourne in 2006 and Sydney in March 2007.

The Brisbane seminar is being held on 1 August and will focus on the benefits trenchless rehabilitation and installation techniques can provide in Australia’s fastest growing region, southeast Queensland.

The seminar will be followed by a dinner to allow industry members to catch up in a more relaxed setting.
