Petro Coating Systems’ (PCS’) success stems from the quality and experience of its employees, which have over 120 years of experience collectively.
David Anderson – Product Development Manager and New Zealand Manager
David Anderson has more than 25 years’ experience in the development and customisation of proprietary coating systems.
Since joining PCS in early 2009, Mr Anderson has been in an extensive product development program to exploit the full potential of the recently commissioned Petrolatum Manufacturing Plant in Bundoora, Victoria. This has seen an array of new products being introduced to both the domestic and export markets.
Mr Anderson has also recently undertaken the re-launch of the PCS brand in New Zealand. He is set to deliver a presentation on pipeline tapes, specification and selection guidelines for the Corrosion Association in Auckland.
Brian Holloway – Pipeline and Coating Services Manager
Brian Holloway is an experienced operator in the protective coatings arena, having spent some 30 years in the industry.
Mr Holloway’s prime focus has been lifting awareness of the coating services capabilities at PCS. He is currently Project Manager of a project delivering 3 km of horizontal directional drilled pipeline coatings under a contract recently awarded to PCS in Queensland.
Mr Holloway was instrumental in a recent contract with Neumann Contractors for the supply of Powercrete R95 as its material of choice. PCS was selected to undertake a complete turnkey application of this specialised coating service. Mr Holloway also notes MobilOil’s decision to use Powercrete R95 for a pipeline rehabilitation project in Melbourne as a highlight.
Henry Skupek – Process, Refineries and Utilities Manager
Henry Skupek has now been with PCS for more than two years, having previously been employed in research, development and regulatory roles in the chemical science arena.
Mr Skupek has spent a considerable portion of 2010 heavily involved in applicator training for covalence heat shrinkable sleeves for numerous water pipelines around Australia.
More recently, Mr Skupek has worked with a variety of consultants to establish specifications for the Nu-Bolt/I-Rod Pipe support crevice corrosion eliminator – a new product launched by PCS.
Craig Naven – Western Australia Manager, Export Manager and Marine Manager
Craig Naven has been back with PCS for three months, spending much of that time increasing awareness of the proprietary PCS MarineGard splash zone prevention systems for pipework and jetty piles in the marine environment.
Mr Naven’s current focus includes total market development in Western Australia. He has enjoyed recent successful project awards, which include the supply of Covalence WPCZ and WPC100M PP heat shrink sleeves for Apache Energy’s Devil Creek offshore project.
Mr Naven is now developing PCS in the South East Asian marketplace, building a vibrant distributor network to ensure that PetroGard, PetroCote, SteelGard and MarineGard anti-corrosion systems are readily available in the region.
