Tapex: new products, new approach

Tapex’s range of detectable underground warning tapes and meshes, which are now used broadly across the pipeline sector, were originally developed for Telstra in the 1990s.

Over the past 25 years, Tapex has grown from a small local manufacturer into a major supplier to the pipeline and utilities sectors, with factories in Asia and locally.

In 2013 Tapex acquired Boddingtons and the complementary product range was integrated into Tapex’s existing range.

Over the past six months, new products have been added to the range, including hard cable cover, termite-proof tracer wire, Maxcell flexible sub-ducting and the Terram range of geotextile and erosion control products.

Tapex can now fulfil most needs for underground pipeline protection, plus a broad range of site safety products.

Tapex remains committed to a sustainable industry and the new products have been developed using plastic recycled through the Tapex farm plastics recycling initiative, Plasback.

All of these products will be on display at the APIA Exhibition in October 2014.

Tapex Sales Manager Michelle Moreira and Tapex Business Development Manager Danny Collard will be manning the booth and will welcome any questions.
