Surveying and GIS made easy with Pipeline Manager

Using that wealth of knowledge and experience Warren King and his staff employ the latest land/engineering surveying, data collecting and GIS technology to provide their customers with an efficient, accurate and complete service.

WKC have a team of surveyors, draftspersons and GIS operators, all with extensive pipeline experience and an extensive network of business associates, making them well equipped to get a team of professionals together to handle any sized project.

Recently appointed as a reseller partner of DMC1 GmbH “Pipeline Manager”, the most advanced standard software product for GIS based pipeline management today, WKC are able to provide a comprehensive service for all pipeline projects from inception through to final completion.

Flexible enough to work in the field or in the office, Pipeline Manager also allows for varying degrees of access to information and toolkits, making it possible to customise the application to suit the needs of users and to ensure the security of your data.

Working within MapInfo, Pipeline Manager gives users the complete functionality of GIS software, if required, with instant pipeline profiling; a complete document/plan/activity management system linked to your GIS; information available in the office or in the field; easy chainage calculations and locations; advanced location of objects and interests points; and a complete list of all contact details.

In addition to using Pipeline Manager, WKC has developed its own in house alignment sheet generation software, Viaductâ„¢. Running within their GIS software, Viaductâ„¢ has the advanced capabilities to reduce raw field data, automate alignment sheet generation and manage of engineering data.

When combined with the skills of WKC staff in surveying and GIS, Pipeline Manager and Viaductâ„¢ offer a complete package customised to the needs of clients while being managed from one central agency.

Recently this technology has been applied to the Mt Gibson Mining slurry pipeline system to transport iron ore slurry from Mt Gibson to Geraldton.

WKC have been involved from project inception, working to select the route, prepare all mapping and keep it secure. This has involved sourcing mapping data from all available sources and setting it up in Pipeline Manager and keeping it up to date. All mapping and design data will be accessed and maintained in the GIS.
