The high-value PXCTM Cordless Tyre Maintenance Kits are powered by Enerpac’s new generation XC Series cordless pump, which offers the performance capabilities of an electric or pneumatic-powered pump with the convenient portability of a hand pump.
This all-new cordless powered pump – which delivers the speed, power and longevity of a corded pump – is combined in Enerpac’s PXCTM Cordless Tyre Maintenance Kit with other Enerpac components including:
- The EBB180 Giant Tyre/Earth Mover Bead Breaker, which only weighs 9 kg and is designed for use on vehicles using five-piece rims of 635-1,295 mm with pry bar head loosening pockets. Its 140 kilonewton (kN) (15.5 t) hydraulic cylinder has a long, 100 mm, stroke for tough-to-break tyre beads;
- The WR 5, 1 t hydraulic wedge and spread cylinder for use in confined work areas, which requires a tip clearance of 12.8 mm and has a maximum spread of 94 mm at a weight of just 2.3 kg; and,
- The HC 7206 high-pressure, 1.8 m hydraulic hose and coupler assembly for optimum safety, along with the cordless maintenance kit and the wide variety of other 700 bar (10,000 psi) varieties with which it can be used.
Enerpac Australia and New Zealand Regional Manager Mr Tony Brooks says “The tools in the PXCTM kit are especially selected from the globally respected Enerpac range to be among the best value, safest and most efficient solutions to tyre maintenance needs in remote areas and workshops where total portability is a priority.
“They are designed to be safe, fast and ergonomic to use, cutting out handling hazards and time wastage from one of the most common jobs involving heavy vehicles.”
PXCTM kits can be complemented with a Value Pack, which consists of a 10,000 psi, 63 mm glycerine-filled gauge, gauge adaptor and a rugged (ST1140 ) metal carry case. The Value Pack option is available only to purchasers of PXCTM kits. In addition, optional RC hydraulic cylinders and nut splitters are available as part of the tyre maintenance kit range.
The XC pump contained in the high voltage kits is designed to satisfy the need for a long-lasting pump that can be used in hard-to-access areas, including confined spaces and remote sites typically encountered by industries such as resources, energy, construction, civil engineering, infrastructure and onshore and offshore maintenance engineering. XC series cordless pumps are constructed using lightweight materials, equipped with a powerful, one-half horsepower motor and feature 28 volt, lithium ion battery technology.
Enerpac’s XC series promotes operator safety by removing trip hazards associated with traditional powered pumps. Safety features include overload protection circuitry, which safeguards both the pump and the operator from excessive amp draw or temperatures, and a trigger lock-off mechanism that protects against unintended operation during transport.
Ideal for a wide range of industries, the XC series solves diverse and demanding applications requirements, including:
- Tyre maintenance;
- Lifting, pushing, pulling and cutting;
- Mobilising heavy equipment;
- Gear pulling; and,
- Servicing machinery.
With its bladder reservoir, Enerpac’s cordless pumps eliminate venting and offer leak-free operation in any orientation. Plus, the overall body, handle and trigger have been ergonomically engineered to maximise ease-of-use and portability.
XC series cordless pumps deliver oil flow of 2.05 L per minute at its low-pressure setting, and 0.25 L per minute when operating at full pressure – up to 700 bar (10,000 psi). Additionally, the lithium ion technology ensures XC series pumps provide end users with the battery runtime necessary to accommodate demanding application requirements.
The 700 bar EBB 180 (140 kN) bead breaker and complementary EBB 400 (450 kN) bead breaker are designed for heavy vehicles and implements used in the construction, civil engineering, farming, heavy industrial, mining, primary industry, quarrying and transport industries.
In addition to saving time during routine workshop maintenance and onsite repair operations, Enerpac says the bead breakers protect staff and machinery by dispensing with heavy, clumsy, labour-intensive equipment and replacing it with precisely applied high force from easily handled tools.
