Senex and Adbri sign gas agreement

Last week, Senex announced the long-term agreement with Adbri Limited to supply up to 11 PJ of natural gas to support Adbri’s South Australian manufacturing operations until 2030.

Under the terms of the deal, Senex will supply Adbri with natural gas from January 2023 at the Moomba Gas Hub at fixed price, in line with current market levels.

Senex Managing Director and CEO Ian Davies said the company was proud to supply the leading cement manufacturer in Australia, stating the partnership would broaden its reach throughout the east coast of Australia.

Adbri CEO Nick Miller also said the company was pleased with the gas supply agreement, stating it aligned with its low-cost and low-carbon fuel portfolio.

Adbiri is an industrial materials company, manufacturing cement, lime, concrete and aggregates for more than 160 facilities across Australia.

“I want to congratulate Senex and Adbri on reaching this important long-term deal,” said Minister for Resources and Water Keith Pitt

“It demonstrates confidence from both sides that affordable gas can be developed by producers and that manufacturers continue to have an important place in our economy.”
