Schoenbeck GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned plant engineering and machine fabrication company located in Nienstaedt, Lower Saxony, Germany. It specialises in lifting equipment for the oil, gas and water pipeline construction industry.
Schoenbeck is a corporate member of APIA and has participated at every Convention since 2007. Since then, many ELiTE vacuum pipe lifers have crossed the seas or flown the skies with the aim of handling pipes safely and lifting customer expectations higher than before. All lifters are fully certified according to and exceeding Australian standards.
New ways and methods
Closer customer contact and steering sales directly from its German office was a key focus for Shoenbeck in 2012. Nine months later, Schoenbeck had registered 69,800 kg of sea freighted ELiTE vacuum pipe lifter equipment and 20,900 kg of air freighted equipment for its Australian market. Taking into account that its vacuum pipe lifters do not exceed 1,000 kg per piece, these figures are very high.
Australian distribution network
In the past, Schoenbeck operated its Australian market with one exclusive distributor. Today it has a network of distributors and in 2013 Schoenbeck welcomed Victorian-based company International Pipeline Services and Brisbane-based company Premier Rock Machinery. Both distributors have considerable experience in pipeline and machinery services, and already have their own stocked parts and equipment.
Schoenbeck plans to further expand its distributor network by welcoming companies interested in marketing the complete German brand name ELiTE vacuum pipe lifter program.
Bond storage facility
In order to support its network of Australian distributors, Schoenbeck’s final step was to open an external storage facility located in Brisbane’s seaport to store its main lifting equipment, The storage facility eases distributor investments and assures immediate equipment availability for all customers throughout the year.
