The company is known for their positive approach and prides itself in providing quality brand equipment to ensure performance on sites that range from the CBD to the most remote regions of Australia and services the civil construction, pipeline and mining industries.
The company trades purely as a plant hire company and does not undertake civil contracting work. This gives Renfrey Plant Hire independence whereby all contractors can utilise the service without having to compete for a client’s work.
Noted for its large fleet primarily made up of excavators, rockbreakers and articulated trucks, Renfrey has been for some time expanding its fleet with loaders, graders and dozers. Recent purchases have included a Cater 14H Grader, a D6R Swamp Dozer and two Hitachi Zaxis 330 series 3 Excavators that were just released. The company has also acquired a 22 m long reach Excavator to complement the current range of equipment, providing additional services to clients.
Renfrey Company Director Kevin Renfrey said that “Our modern, well-maintained fleet has enabled us to provide services to clients on major projects throughout Australia.
“Operator skills shortage is a major concern for the industry and we are fortunate to have a large number of long serving employees who will work on remote sites. We can put reliable people in a remote area and know they will complete the job. We see this factor as a considerable advantage to straight Dry Hire options out there that leave the client with the task of finding new people for each project and paying for the mistakes and abuse.”
The company has recently celebrated its 32nd year in business and is testament to the commitment to the industry and quality. It has a strong focus on training and building a skilled labour force with many team members having worked for Renfrey for a long time, including one for 28 years.
Renfrey Plant Hire has been involved with many major pipeline projects across Australia since the early 1980s and understands the special demands of this work.
Mr Renfrey believes that the strength of the company comes from the integration of various aspects of quality including machinery, good preparation, reliable people and good relationships with our personnel and suppliers.
