Red Sky Managing Director Rohan Gillespie told PPO Latest that this step would require the development of major new pipeline links to facilitate supply of the company’s gas to Gladstone LNG projects.
Mr Gillespie said that the company will consider building a new pipeline in conjunction with an as-yet unknown “major player” to connect Red Sky’s acreage to proposed pipeline infrastructure, and hinted that the contest was still wide open.
“We are heading to Singapore next week, where we’ll be talking to international LNG players,” Mr Gillespie said. “There are a number of international operators yet to enter the Australian LNG market, and we are poised to be their ideal partner.”
Several pipelines have been proposed for connection to the Gladstone LNG development, including the Surat to Gladstone Pipeline, the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) Pipeline, the GLNG Pipeline and the Central Queensland Gas Pipeline.
