The standard – which refers to methods for pressure testing petroleum pipelines – has been revised made available for public comment until 4 October 2010.
Standards Australia said “The Australian Pipeline Standards rely on critical public comment to ensure that the standards satisfy the requirements of the pipeline industry.”
Ms Cartwright said “This industry is proud of our Industry Standard – AS2885. The reason that AS2885 has helped the success of our industry is our commitment to ensuring it is relevant and up-to-date.
“I urge you to consider this revision and make comment. It is important to this industry that we engage in this process.”
The standard can be viewed on the Standards Australia website.
