Pipe coating at Ichthys and Chevron a Shaw thing

Bredero Shaw has received an over $400 million letter of intent from Mitsui for the gas export pipeline on the Ichthys Gas Field Development Project.

The Ichthys Gas Export Pipeline will transport production from the offshore central processing facility through a subsea pipeline to the onshore LNG facility to be located at Blaydin Point in the NT.

The company was also awarded a second contract worth $175.5 million from Chevron Australia for the flowlines on the Wheatstone Project.

The Wheatstone Project will develop the Wheatstone, Julimar and Brunello gas fields, located offshore WA, and will involve an onshore LNG plant located approximately 12 km south of Onslow. Its foundation phase will consist of two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 MMt/a, and a domestic gas plant. The project is scheduled to start production in 2016.
