The ASCOPE (ASEAN Council of Petroleum) Committee comprises ten national petroleum companies/authorities from ASEAN countries, namely Brunei National Petroleum Company Sendirian Berhad; Cambodian National Petroleum Authority; PT Pertamina Persero from Indonesia; Department of Electricity, Ministry of Energy and Mines of Lao PDR; Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) from Malaysia; Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise; Philippines National Oil Company; Keppel Corporation Ltd. from Singapore; PTT Public Company Ltd. of Thailand; and, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.
For the first time, the ASCOPE C&E will be hosted by PVN, managed by My Events International (Malaysia) and is set to attract approximately 300 exhibitors and 500 conference delegates.
Currently, ASCOPE C&E is considered to be the most prestigious oil and gas event in the ASEAN region. It is held in a four-year routine amongst ASCOPE members where all members gather to demonstrate their own capacity as well as to exchange experiences, technical know-how and co-operation opportunities with international, national and independent oil companies worldwide. The ultimate aim is to present ASEAN oil and gas development and to call foreign partners’ attention to the vast opportunities available in this emerging region.
The conference will bring a unique opportunity to effectively discuss burning issues of oil and gas industry. By delivering keynote speeches, the Presidents and CEOs of all ASEAN national oil companies are expected to provide a timely insight into ASEAN petroleum business, challenges to be faced, strengths to be enhanced and solutions to be applied.
In addition, there will be a technical conference for the region’s petroleum engineers. By gathering industry leading speakers from around the globe, the ASCOPE conference expects to bring an invaluable update for engineers based in ASEAN.
