OSD/GWB merger to boost Queensland CSG

This merger provides significantly greater engineering design and implementation capability that can be provided to the oil, gas and chemical industries throughout Australia. More specifically, the Queensland-based deal will assist coal seam gas (CSG) producers and pipeline developers by providing a higher capability pipeline and facilities engineering resource in the Brisbane region.

With both businesses originating in Queensland, their direct involvement with the development of the CSG industry in Australia is significant. This strategic deal will broaden the scope of both businesses, and further support the development of the CSG projects around the country.

OSD Managing Director Brian O’Sullivan said “By merging with Greg Bartley’s group, GWB Engineering, we now have a far greater capability to serve our clients here in Queensland and across Australia. With the large scale projects being planned in Australia, now is the time for Australian service providers of quality to come together to meet the challenge.”

In accordance with this merger, the name GWB will remain, and the company will trade as part of the OSD group of companies. The union will see the culmination of over 1,000 personnel years experience in pipeline and facilities engineering, consulting, operations and training.
