OSD officially took over the operation and maintenance contract of the McArthur River Pipeline on Monday 15 February.
The five year contract covers the full operation and maintenance of the 340 km pipeline connecting the Amadeus Gas Pipeline at Daly Waters to the McArthur river mine site, and is owned by the Power and Water Corporation in the Northern Territory.
OSD Asset Services will be responsible for all aspects of the operations and maintenance of the pipeline, including emergency response, right of way patrols, station inspections, integrity surveys and landholder liaisons.
Operations will be monitored from the OSD Asset Services SCADA control room in Brisbane, with support from OSD staff located in Darwin and Katherine.
