The West Angelas Petroleum (Gas) Pipeline and Stations (WAPPL) will transport gas from the Goldfields Gas Pipeline to Rio Tinto’s new gas-fired power station in Australia’s Pilbara region. The complete engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project includes 85 km of gas transmission pipeline, and delivery station facilities which include filtration, regulation, heating and communications. The DN350 Class 600 pipeline will have a design capacity of 60 TJ/d.
This project award follows the completion by OSD of several other Pilbara-based projects and studies.
The KT-OSD joint venture is an initiative of OSD Pty Ltd and Monadelphous Group Ltd to provide a turnkey solution for a complete pipeline development service. Under the joint venture agreement, OSD Projects will provide engineering, procurement and commissioning services, whilst KT Pty Ltd, trading as KT Pipeline Services, will undertake the construction element of
the project.
