ORIX launches rental business

The newly developed ORIX Rental will take the next step from the service previously known as ORIX Commercial, offering rideshare-ready rental vehicles and ORIX’s flexi-lease, short-term hire, truck, trailer and commercial leasing businesses.

Grant Harrison, who has been appointed to the role of ORIX Rental General Manager, said customers would benefit greatly from the new entity.

“By consolidating all our rental services, we are uniquely positioned as the only fleet management operator with a full national rental division,” he said.

“We can now provide seamless full-service mobility solutions to any business of any size anywhere in Australia.

“Whether it’s a Prime Mover or a Prius, we have the vehicles to keep driving businesses forward.”

ORIX Australia Managing Director and CEO Reggie Cabal said along with the 2019 launch of VOOM –Australia’s first automated SME vehicle acquisition platform – the ORIX Commercial was demonstrating the company’s willingness to innovate.

“You can either transform and disrupt your business now or wait for someone else to beat you to it,” said Mr Cabal.

“We believe in staying ahead of the curve and innovating first, because as soon as you start playing catch-up you’ve already lost.”
