Cheryl Cartwright met with Mark Twyrcross, Garry O’Meally and Jim McDonald, all of whom interviewed her for the industry’s top position 11 years prior to the 2016 convention.
It was at this job interview where Garry asked Ms Cartwright a rather politically incorrect question: “What is your age?”
Without any hesitation Ms Cartwright replied “I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.”
Ms Cartwright got the job, and has been leading the industry association ever since.
