Goulburn Valley Water General Manager Technical Services Bruce Hammond told PPO News that due to delays in commissioning the pipeline, the project did not meet its original completion date of May 2010.
Under the new contractor, Mr Hammond expects commissioning of the pipeline to be completed by the end of June, or early July 2011, though this will be largely dependent on the pressure testing of the pipeline.
In addition, Bobcat Hire has been contracted for work on the reinstatement of the pipeline.
