NationWide Hire is a privately-owned and operated company, specialising in the hire of off road and project specific trucks, 4×4 and light commercial vehicles.
The new Brisbane office will complement NationWide Hire’s existing branches in Rutherford, New South Wales, and Rockhampton in Queensland.
Chief Executive Officer John Wilton says “Our growing client base in South East Queensland necessitated the opening of this branch, to be able to provide the range of services and fleet required in this market.
“Situated in Wacol, it is ideally located with easy access to the city and to the Western Corridor.”
The start of 2010 has also seen a restructuring of the business with a new General Manager, Eddie Shannon, appointed. Mr Wilton’s position has since been rebranded as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Wilton explains the restructuring as a requirement of the company’s imminent growth.
“With our first expansion offshore into Papua New Guinea (PNG) it became necessary to spread the load, particularly in view of the expected demand later in 2010.
“Our PNG business, a joint venture with a large, well established European company, Bukkehave A/S, has enabled us to provide our unique services to another growing market,” says Mr Wilton.
NationWide has also continued its fleet innovations into 2010 with the release of a new 30 seater 4×4 bus, which complements the company’s existing range of crew carriers. The company has a unique range of vehicles, ranging from seven seaters, ten seaters, 18 seaters and the new 30 seater.
The company has been supplying specialist trucks such as on and off road vehicles for the mining, construction and pipeline industries, as well as the rail and civil contracting industries, for approximately seven years.
