National Vegetation Management clearing the way forward

Over the last two years National Vegetation Management has grown to become the largest specialised easement clearing company in Australia. With the company’s extensive fleet of specialised easement clearing equipment and mulching machines no project is considered too large or too difficult.

National Vegetation Management has recently been the principle vegetation clearing contractor on the Western and Southern Regional water pipelines, Trackstar (QR) Caboolture and Robina railway duplications, 96 km transmission powerline and access track construction and various coal seam gas pipeline projects.

These projects have utilised various vegetation clearing methods including environmentally selective clearing, tree lopping, tubgrinding, logging, dozing, EWP’s, broad acre mulchers (Mega Mulchers) and vertical mulchers. These projects have also required National Vegetation Management to provide access track construction and specialised project management.

The combined use of broad acre mulchers, vertical mulchers and vertical tree extractors has proven to be the most environmentally friendly and cost effective method. This group of clearing equipment has become the preferred method for clearing easements with confined working width, thereby maximising usage of the construction area.

National Vegetation Management has now expanded its services to provide its customers with a new Consultancy Division. This consultancy division allows the company to provide a total vegetation clearing solution to customers – complete from consultancy and risk assessment prior to works commencing, to vegetation project management, access track construction, environmental/wildlife management and the actual vegetation clearing.

The fleet has grown to include: Vertical Tree Extractors from 24 to 29 tonne, Groomers, broad acre mulchers (rubber tyred) from 290 hp to 425 hp, and vertical mulchers from 450 hp to
850 hp. National Vegetation Management also has on order two 575 hp tracked mounted broad acre mulchers and a 30 tonne Tree Extractor – due for delivery in early 2008. This diverse fleet of equipment and resources allows National Vegetation Management to simultaneously operate on a variety of fronts in any project.

Managing Director Stephen Goodall said, “National Vegetation Management, with our fleet of large horsepower/high production mulching equipment, continues to return a substantial cost savings to our customers via an impressive reduction in time clearing and increased management of vegetation volume.”

National Vegetation Management’s extensive Quality Management System and strong safety and environmental systems, have facilitated its involvement and management of some of the most environmentally sensitive clearing projects in Australia.

National Vegetation Management operates throughout Australia and is currently investigating several opportunities in Asia.

National Vegetation Management continues to lives up to its trade mark “The Clearer Solution”.
