Momentum picks up in the LNG market

LNG Ltd will develop and own a 3 MMt/a of LNG plant at Fisherman’s Landing.

The plant will purify and liquefy coal seam gas (CSG) into LNG using LNG Ltd’s proprietary optimised single mixed refrigerant process.

Momentum Engineering has undertaken a front-end layout study for the complete facility, including layout of the plant, tank and jetty facilities.

The engineering company will continue to support LNG Ltd as the Fisherman’s Landing project progresses, with review of the design to be produced by the engineering, procurement and construction contractor.

Site construction has commenced and the project is due for completion in 2012.

Momentum provides engineering consulting and project management services to the energy and resource sector.

The company recently completed engineering and design support for APA Group on the Goldfields Gas Pipeline expansion in Western Australia.

The upgrade project involved the construction of two new gas compressor stations at Wyloo West and Ned’s Creek, which were completed in 2009. Both were greenfield projects involving the installation of gas compression and ancillary equipment including filtration, aftercoolers and site power generation.

Momentum assisted with process, mechanical, piping, civil and structural engineering and design works. The company also supported APA in the evaluation, procurement and inspection of major equipment for both sites.
