In December 2005 MFS was entrusted with the task of negotiating agreements, in less than six months, with 47 landholders, both private and public. In this timeframe MFS was able to draft, prepare and negotiate Options to Enter into Easement agreements with all affected landholders, undertake Assessments of Compensation and compile a detailed Construction Line List allowing construction of the pipeline to proceed without delay.
In addition, agreements were prepared and negotiated for all ancillary facilities associated with the pipeline including compressor stations, main line valve facilities, fibre optic and cathodic protection.
MFS established an excellent rapport and working relationship with all landholders during the development phase and as recognition of this was subsequently engaged by Diversified Construction to continue land liaison services throughout the construction phase.
MFS’ professional approach to all land matters has allowed this project to proceed efficiently and cooperatively. MFS is not only pleased to be associated with Santos on a successful project such as this but, just as importantly, was very proud to be part of the team of highly experienced and professional pipeliners who worked hard to deliver this project.
