The project will involve fitting out three bores and constructing a 31 km pipeline, as well as a balance tank, HV powerline and telemetry.
The pipeline components of the project will involve:
- A 225 mm PVC pipeline for transfer from the bores to the balance tank, estimated at 2.66 km in length;
- A 300 mm PVC pipeline for transfer from the pumping station to the storage reservoir, estimated at 12.03 km in length;
- A 300 mm pipeline for transfer from the storage reservoir to the water treatment plant, estimated at 17.05 km in length; and
- Three production pumps of 70 litres per second in capacity, and associated pipe.
Other works include electrical telemetry works, and a steel balance tank of 75 KL capacity, with pumps, controls, access road and pipe work.
The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry applies to this project.
A non-mandatory site meeting will be held at the Lake Cargelligo Bowling Club, New South Wales, on 26 April 2011 at 10.30 am.
