Macquarie water pipeline receives PAC approval

According to Orange Mayor John Davis, the project still needs Commonwealth approval but due to the fact that it has been through a thorough assessment, he is hopeful that it will receive a green light from the Commonwealth.

Subject to relevant approvals, Orange City Council plans to let the tender to Leed Engineering and Construction ensuring the project will be delivered within the $A47 million budget.

If Federal consent is granted, it is Council’s intention to commence work as soon as practicable after the announcement.
