The pipeline will continue to operate during the maintenance project, which is expected to run for a year, and will involve assessment of the coating condition as well as restoring the stations to their original condition.
The remote nature of APA’s assets, and the distances to be travelled between sites means McConnell Dowell will put a large focus on journey management, in particular driver and worker safety and remote area logistics management.

Works are anticipated to commence in June 2015.
The Amadeus Gas Pipeline runs for 1629 km, transporting gas to Darwin for the Palm Valley and Mereenie fields.
