MacDow appoints regional MD

Mr Rogers is an experienced international executive, with strong knowledge of the South East Asia Region, and over 20 years EPC experience in the oil and gas sector.

Coming to McConnell Dowell from Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I), Mr Rogers was most recently Vice President Asia Pacific & Australia, based in Singapore, leading a regional management team operating across China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Australia.

McConnell Dowell CEO Scott Cummins said Mr Rogers is an outstanding choice to lead the South East Asia Business Unit through the next phase of the McConnell Dowell Group strategy.

“Stephen has a demonstrated a track record of leading businesses at a global and regional level to deliver sustained growth and profitability,” said Mr Cummins.

“Stephen’s breadth and depth of experience and his strong customer focus made him the stand-out candidate for the position.”

Mr Cummins also recognised the achievements of outgoing Managing Director Murray Dundas.

“We would like to thank Murray for his many years of dedicated service to McConnell Dowell in South East Asia and his ongoing support as the leadership transition proceeds,” said Mr Cummins.

Mr Rogers will be based in the McConnell Dowell Singapore office and will commence his role as Managing Director on 10 July 2017.

He will be a member of the Group’s Executive Leadership Committee.
