Two representatives will present an update on APA’s Western Australian operations at the upcoming APGA Perth lunch on 22 June.
APGA is the peak body representing Australasia’s pipeline infrastructure. Based in Canberra since 1998, APGA manages and promotes an annual convention and trade exhibition in addition to comprehensive program seminars, lunches and dinners.
Guest speakers are scheduled to appear at the upcoming June event. APA’S Group Program Manager Daniel Wallace and General Manager of APA Group Solutions in WA, Barrie Sturgeon will provide an update on industry.
This will include a progress update on the Northern Goldfields Interconnect (NGI), a new pipeline approximately 580km long. The pipeline will run from Ambania, about 50km east of Geraldton and connect to the existing Goldfields Gas Pipeline (GGP), which sits about 40km from Leinster.
The NGI will provide new supply opportunities of natural gas for the mining industry and establish further growth opportunities in the Goldfields region and beyond.
Likewise, Wallace and Sturgeon will also provide an overview of the market conditions in WA. Challenges associated with project approvals and the supply and delivery chain market in the current environment.
