Herrenknecht AG is based in Germany and was established in 1977 as a manufacturer of tunnel boring machines (TBM). The company continues to be a market leader in TBM technology.
Through innovation and development, Herrenknecht has expanded its range of equipment to include a number of specialised pipeline installation technologies as listed below:
- horizontal directional drilling (HDD) rigs with pull force range from 80 to 600 t
- a range of HDD tooling including full face hole openers (FFHO) allowing for single-pass large diameter reaming stages, weeper subs and downhole jet pumps
