JDA recruitment; local knowledge and global reach

In 1991, JDA was contracted by McConnell Dowell- Spie Capag to provide contract staff for the construction of the Oil Pipeline in PNG. The project was challenging and JDA’s 450 contractors managed to battle the inhospitable terrain between the Highlands and the Gulf of PNG to contribute to the project being completed under budget and on time.

JDA has continued its involvement with pipeline projects in PNG. The company currently has a preferred supplier arrangement with Oil Search and has recently supplied contract staff for two of its major PNG projects, the North West Moran pipeline constructed by Vetco Aibel and the South East Mananda pipeline constructed by KT Pty Ltd.

The company’s global reach has increased its capacity to staff pipeline projects internationally. JDA has established offices in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, and they have developed alliance relationships in Shanghai, New Caledonia, South Africa, Zambia and Dubai. Through these offices and networks JDA supply the full range of oilfield construction and operations staffing.

In these times of skills shortages JDA also has the capacity to mobilise from overseas, competent skilled personnel from countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines and bring them to Australian and offshore projects.
