Mr Nozari pointed out that through a number of new industrial projects being constructed in Kermanshah province, the western province will become an important industrial region. President Ahmadinejad officially inaugurated the Kermanshah Petrochemical Complex on 26 June. The complex is situated at Bistoun, 30km east of the provincial capital, and will produce over 660,000 tons/yr of urea and 396,000 tons/yr of ammonia, and has brought the benefit of 700 job opportunities to the province.
