Williams’ pipeline expansion in service

The first phase added 6.5 km of pipe length to the Transco pipeline and was put into service in December 2008, while Phase 2 construction included the addition of 22.5 km of pipe as well as the modification of eight meter stations around Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The expansion increased the total system capacity of the Transco Pipeline to approximately 8.6 Bcf/d.

The Transco Pipeline is a 16,898 km pipeline system, which transports natural gas to markets throughout northeastern and southeastern United States.
