Welding system for Russian pipe mill

 


LINCOLN Electric Holdings has been awarded a major contract to supply advanced automation welding equipment to a pipe mill in Russia. The contract, valued at 5.6 million euros (US$6 million), is for the Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant. The overall project management will be provided by Lincoln Electric s wholly-owned German subsidiary, Uhrhan & Schwill, while the component parts of the system will be manufactured in Europe and at the company s Cleveland, Ohio operations.


 


Headquartered in Essen, Germany, Uhrhan & Schwill is a leader in the design and installation of pipe-welding systems, while Lincoln Electric specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of arc-welding products, robotic arc-welding systems, plasma, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
