Weight loss in the pipeline

Mr Elliot has committed to losing 30 pounds of his bodyweight to raise funds for British charity “÷Help for Heroes’ and US-based “÷Wounded Warrior Project’, both of which provide support to injured military personnel and their families.

By adopting a healthy diet and following an intensive exercise program, Mr Elliot, who currently weighs 217 pounds, aims to improve his health and give something back to the community.

Mr Elliot, who also spent 13 years at BJ Services, said “We don’t always attract the best publicity in the oil and gas industry, and often work alongside members of the armed forces, wherever conflict breaks out.

“When a country has seen armed conflict, it’s important to get the infrastructure back up and running quickly, which is where the oil and gas industry comes in, particularly the pipeline industry. Pipelines are often the lifeblood of an economy, and an easy target for sabotage.”
