Operations take place across four key stages: environmental monitoring, trenching, backfilling and seabed restoration.
A channel will be created along the pipe by removing the seabed layers, the top layers and clay pockets.
Following pipelaying, vessels will backfill the trenches with material and seabed restoration will take place.
