The pipeline will carry 2.8 Bcf/a of ethanol from Sao Paulo state to the Santos port, Brazil.
Uniduto President Sergio Klaveren said “Currently, approximately 95 per cent of the transport of ethanol in Brazil is still done by highways, which has a significant impact on cost and creates enormous logistical bottlenecksÉWith the Alcoolduto Pipeline, Brazil will gain competitiveness with other markets.”
The project has been undergoing environmental licensing since April 2009.
