Ukraine to build oil pipeline to Poland?

Mr Yushchenko also said Ukraine was concluding talks on the construction of an oil refinery in the western Ukrainian town of Brody with high-quality output: he said this second stage of the project would require $3.5 billion in investment.

Mr Yushchenko said the capacity of the Odessa-Brody pipeline could be expanded by building a new oil terminal in the port of Yuzhny near Odessa and an oil pipeline between Yuzhny and Odessa in accordance with an agreement with Kazakhstan. The Odessa-Brody pipeline currently pumps Russian oil to Black Sea ports.
