The list was released earlier this week and is comprised of trade shows across North America that averaged between six and thirteen times the growth experienced by typical trade shows.
2014 was the first year the South Texas Oilfield Expo took place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Previously, the annual expo had taken place in Corpus Christi, Texas.
“Part of the reason we decided to move the show to San Antonio was to accommodate for this type of growth,” said Texas Classic Productions President Eli Logan.
“The move also made attending the show more convenient for oil and gas professionals in the Eagle Ford Shale. Both of these benefits are why we’re keeping the show at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.”
The 2015 South Texas Oilfield Expo takes place in San Antonio from 29-30 July.
The official ranking of the 2014 South Texas Oilfield Expo in TSE’s Top 50 will be announced at an awards summit hosted by the magazine this month. Together, trade shows among the Fastest 50 totaled nearly 18 million square feet of exhibit space, drew a combined 61,000 exhibiting companies and 1.5 million attendees.
“The Fastest 50 Awards and Summit is not only a tribute to the sizzling numbers these organisers produced, but also spotlights their ingenuity and skill in thriving during unprecedented growth spurts,” said TSE President Darlene Gudea.
“We’re honored to be nationally recognised for our efforts, and we look forward to continued growth through producing expos that generate ROI for all of our sponsors and exhibitors,” said Mr Logan.
