TC Energy announces CA$1.2b expansion

TC PipeLines LP, a subsidiary of TC Energy, recently announced the US$335 million GTN Xpress Project to deliver volumes to downstream markets.

TC Energy President and CEO Russ Girling said the West Path Delivery Program and the GTN Xpress Project will further enhance connections of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) to high-value downstream markets.

“This CA$1.2 billion (US$9.1 million) program brings our sanctioned expansions of NGTL and Foothills infrastructure to $10 billion (US$7.5 billion), demonstrating our strong commitment to the long-term viability of the WCSB,” said Mr Girling.

The investment includes approximately 119 km of pipeline and associated facilities with applications for approvals to construct and operate the facilities expected to be filed in 2020.

Constructed is expected to commence in late 2021, pending receipt of regulatory approvals.
