TAP announces new management team

Mr Schieppati has 26 years of pipeline experience, including work for gas transmission and distribution companies in Italy and Europe.

Before joining TAP, he worked for European natural gas utility Snam since 1991, most recently as Chief Industrial Assets Officer.

He also brings his experience as the Managing Director at Snam Rete Gas S.p.A, which manages a 32,500-km natural gas pipeline network in Italy.

Mr Peeraer has more than 30 years of experience in the European utilities and gas sectors.

Before his appointment with TAP, he worked with the Belgian-based gas transmission assets management company Fluxys S. A. as Managing Director and Board Member.

Mr Peeraer is also a former TAP Board member.

“I’m very pleased to have Luca and Walter leading TAP at this critical phase,” said TAP Chairman of Board of Directors Joe Murphy.

“With construction continuing across all three countries, the project is entering an important new phase, and I’m confident that their many years of experience and deep expertise will be essential in safely and successfully delivering this project for the European gas customers.”

Mr Schieppati replaces Ian Bradshaw, who had been TAP’s Managing Director since early 2015.

“I would also like to take this opportunity on behalf of the entire TAP Board to thank Ian for his leadership and stewardship of the project over the past years,” said Mr Murphy.

“We recognise all the hard work and accomplishments of Ian and his team, which have brought us to this next phase in realising TAP.”
