The event, which is organised by Tiratsoo Technical (a division of Great Southern Press) and Houston-based Clarion Technical Conferences, joined with the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, will be held from 19-20 June 2013.
The subject of CO2 transportation by pipeline is of widespread and increasing importance as many governments and communities world-wide comes to terms with the issues of carbon capture and storage for the mitigation of climate change: the transportation aspect is often looked upon as the “missing link’ in a concept that is already being widely embraced. This international forum come at the issues from a number of viewpoints: technical, regulatory, practical, and social.
Special two-day training course
The Forum will be preceded, by a two-day training course on 17-18 June, presented by Brian Rothwell and Dr Kamal K. Botros. The course covers the entire spectrum of technical issues and requirements for the design, construction, operation, maintenance, risk and integrity assessment of pipelines carrying impure CO2.
