Saudi’s Aramco calls for FEED bids

Contractors have been asked to submit bids for project management support and front-end engineering and design work for the offshore Arabiyah field and Shaybah natural gas liquids recovery facility.

The new developments at Arabiyah will include two pipelines of 24 km and 36 km to connect the well head platforms to the tie-in platforms, as well as a 110 km pipeline to feed the gas to the Manifa-based plant. A 100 km pipeline will transport the gas to the Berri gas plant, which ties it into the main gas system.

These two major programs will aim to cover production and processing of 1 Bcf/d of gas, providing much needed gas supplies to petrochemicals firms and other customers in the country.
