Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok Pipeline nears completion

Currently gas pumping equipment is being installed at the Sakhalin compressor station.

Horizontal drilling has been completed under the Eastern Bosphorus Strait, which separates the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula and Russky Island, for the main string of the inter-settlement gas pipeline from the gas distribution station in Vladivostok to Russky Island, while the tunnel diameter is being enlarged for the subsequent laying of the gas pipeline.

The first start up complex of the pipeline, with a capacity of 6 Bcm/a, will be brought onstream in the third quarter of 2011.

The total length of the system when completed will exceed 1,800 km and be capable of conveying 30 Bcm/a of Sakhalin gas.
